Today was the Ironman competition. The bike race rout went past our neighborhood and boy did it cause a huge traffic problem for the northern part of Houston. I didn't go to my swim meet because we knew we would not be able to get out of the neighborhood for hours and I had my last soccer game at 10:30am with an End of Season party afterwards.
We lost the soccer game but I still had fun. The party was at a park and we had pizza and cupcakes. Mommy brought the cupcakes.
My left ear is swollen.
This has happened before....
You can really see how swollen it is in this picture. I'm just allergic to something. By morning my er will be back to normal size.
Barbara and Mommy both missed my soccer game because they needed to be at the lake when their cousin Susan Aston and Mike, her husband, arrive to visit for a couple of hours. They had been on a cruise and were driving to Austin to visit their daughter so they stopped by to visit. Grandma served sandwiches, broccoli salad, and watermelon. They talked about old times and family genealogy.

At home I ate watermelon, a hard boiled egg, and then more watermelon. Funny dinner! But that is what I wanted.
GGF was okay yesterday, working in the yard, like he does most days. But something happened to him today and he is having a hard time. He is confused, fatigued and a few other problems. Barbara tried getting him a doctor's appointment with the VA and found out they would have a three week wait. They are pretty tired of their experience with the VA. It has been decided GGF will start going to GGM's doctor.
