Houson had record rainfall in April this year.
I slept until 8:30.
Downstairs I helped GGM peel hard boiled eggs...
...then I ate one. I also helped roll some spiced ground turkey into mini meatballs. That is what Barbara and Mommy both take in their lunches. When they were cooked and cooled a bit, I dropped about nine into a snack bag and weighed them to see if I had 3 ounces. Sometimes I had to add a small one or take out one. After they were good and cool we put the small bags in a large freezer bag, so they are ready when lunches are being fixed.
Alyssa and Anthony were at church. Cole couldn't play. George was outside but he had to work so he couldn't play. I had no one to play with so I came inside to find an adult to play with.
I enjoyed our attempted science experiment yesterday so much I wanted to do another one, so Barbara did something we have done twice before. We made some goo or silly putty using white glue, water, food color and borax. Funny thing: every time I get to pick the color and every time I have used blue, then added some yellow and ended up with a blue green color. I don't know why I picked those same colors each time.
Finally the kids could play. But around noon, I found they all had places to go, so again I went inside. Mommy was doing laundry, cleaning the bathroom and working on my projects. Barbara said she would take me to the club house pool, so we put on swim suits and headed up there. Before we got there we decided to call Kristan and see if we could come swim in her pool. She said come on over, so we did. Anna Kate was just waking up. The water was pretty chilly, but after the initial shock, it was okay. We threw rings to the bottom of the pool and I could dive down and retrieve them. The water was too cool for AK to get in with us. Mommy was ready to come join us, but we were ready to quit after about 30 minutes, so we came on home.
I helped work on my projects. I wanted to write Mrs. Meredith a note, but it wasn't working out very well, so Barbara very lightly wrote the words and I then traced over them. It was a success.
I read a Dick and Jane book that was an early reader when my mom was a child. Actually it was too easy to read.
Mommy and I went to the grocery store for GGM. She wanted a watermelon, which is one of her favorite foods. Barbara was glad to not have to go to the store.
