I woke up at 6am. Mimz took my temperature. It was 102.2. She gave me some Tylenol and and hour later it was down to 101.5
Barbara didn't have any luck getting me an appointment over the phone, so she drove to the doctor's office and pleaded with them to see me for two reasons. 1. needed a diagnosis and the right medicine and 2. I was flying to Disney World in 22 hours and I we wanted me to start getting well. Going in person helped get me a 9:10am appointment.
Mimz and I stopped at McDonald's to get me a bite to eat and we arrived before 9:10am. After waiting an hour, Mimz asked if we had been forgotten. In just a few more minutes we were called into the office. I weighed 48.8 pounds. I was 48 inches tall. My temp was under 100.
A lady took some of my blood from a small prick of my finger. It hurt when she kept on milking my finger to get some blood. She must have taken about 10 small drops of blood.
Dr. Lacour changed jobs, so I have a different doctor: Dr. William Moehe, pronounced Moo - e.
But I didn't see my doctor today. I saw a lady doctor. She listened to my symptoms and examined me. We found out I did not have strap throat, or an ear infection and my blood work came back normal. My lungs sounded good. That all means I have a virus and time will take care of it.
Mimz filled a prescription for me to help with my congestion and Tylenol will help keep my fever in check. Mimz took me to her home so Barbara could continue to get ready for our trip tomorrow. She had to buy groceries for my great grandparents. She also had to take a note from the doctor to my school so my absence would be excused.
We had a long wait at the pharmacy and while we waited we looked around and I saw some Ramen noodles. That is what I wanted for lunch. When we finally got home, Mimz made me some Ramen noodles for the very first time.
I didn't feel too good, so I laid on the couch.
I had my first dose of meds at noon. Next dose is needed at 6pm. I also took some Tylenol. At some point I told Mimz I was going to sleep, and would she cover me up.
Barbara and GGF met Mimz and me at Panda Express instead of our usual Sprouts, so we could only make one stop and get GGF could get some Honey Walnut Shrimp. I got some Orange Chicken. The sky was very very dark to the north. As soon as we started driving home, we ran into heavy rain.
Swim Team pictures were supposed to be taken today, but they were canceled due to the heavy rain. And practice was canceled but I couldn't go to practice anyway. I'm guessing I may be in Florida when they reschedule pictures.
Barbara and I looked for things to put in my airplane carry-on bag. I was dreaming about flying to Disney World tomorrow.
Mimz heard on the National News that the Zika mosquitoes are in Florida and Disney World. They are working behind the scenes to control mosquitoes. The report said we should use mosquito repellent just like we use sunscreen.
I enjoyed packing for my trip. Then Barbara and I looked at home videos of me when I was around 4 years old. I am a pretty funny kid. Around 6pm, I asked Mommy if we could go to bed. Not because I was sleepy but because I thought the sooner we went to sleep the sooner we could leave on vacation.
I really didn't go to bed until 8:30pm. I was asleep by 8:35pm.
My teacher sent home these to papers with things I should do this summer to help me be ready for first grade:
I already know many of these words. I will easily learn the rest before school starts.
