I was asleep by 9pm, and I was still asleep at 8am, so Barbara came over to wait for me to wake up. I woke up just as Mommy was getting ready to leave. We had a plan for today and it involved something I was really looking forward to. First eat breakfast and brush our teeth, then we were off to Wal-Mart to look at Lego kits.
I had such a good time building my Lego's fire engine with Mimz, and we wanted something different to do, since I would be at Barbara's for over 10 hours. We looked and studied the kits. We skipped over the Star Wars, and all of that kind of kits. We looked at Fire and City kits only.
I chose to get the Fire Boat. It is a kit with a fire boat and a racing
boat that can have a fire on it and then the fire boat comes to the
rescue. Normally you can't get me to get in the cart, but I wanted to read the box while GGM and Barbara shopped for groceries.
I carried my box to the car.
I showed GGF what we bought. I built the four men without looking at the instructions.
Then we looked at the instructions, page by page, and built both boats. I am very good at finding the pieces and very good at knowing where to put the pieces. Some of the pieces are very small and are hard to snap into place, so I need help with that part. Barbara had never put one of these kits together, so she was a learner also. We played with the boats several times today. We stop to play more active things, then I always wanted to come back to Lego's or Car Town.
It took five building sessions to get them both built. I can't sit that long working on Legos.
(The beads are the water.)
While Barbara and I built Lego's, GGM was busy making two desserts, one of them a birthday cake for tomorrow's celebration. She also fixed some ham hock and beans. The ham hock was leftover from our Easter dinner. (It was frozen until we got around to cooking it.)
It was 6:45pm when Mommy got here. She worked late and there was a truck turned over on her route to get home.
