GGM and Barbara thought about going to the grocery store very early this morning, but they knew I would enjoy the outing so they waited for me. As soon as I ate breakfast and brushed my teeth, we were on our way to Wal-Mart. I got two free cookies from the bakery, then we shopped, then we stopped by the toy department. I saw lots of things I want, but I didn't get any of them today. We did buy me a new sunscreen and insect repellent since my old ones were past the expiration date.
Back at home we played with my pattern blocks. I come up with some pretty complicated patterns, and I watch closely to see if GGM and Barbara can copy them. I do a good job copying the patterns they make for me.
ProLawn came today to clean up the flower beds and bushes and add new mulch. They didn't take out our winter flowers and add new flowers. I guess that was because the winter flowers still looked good. We watched them often from the upstairs windows. The guys would wave at me anytime they could hear me knock on the window.
We went outside to look at our lonely tomato. Well, I rarely go barefooted, but today I did. I hollered the moment I knew I had been bitten by an ant. Barbara quickly wiped several ants off my feet. We ran the hose over my feet, then we dried them and put on After Bite.
They made big raised bite areas. Six bites on one foot and one bite on the other foot. We put on two more doses of After Bite after several minutes.
And amazingly the bites almost disappeared.
I got on GGM bed to watch TV and in just a few minutes I was asleep.
When I fell asleep my one entire leg was off the bed, so Barbara waited a few minutes then she lifted me more onto the bed. I slept until Mommy called to say she and Daddy were on their way to pick me up.
While I was sleeping my feet had not swollen at all. When I woke up and started walking around, one of my feet was a little swollen. Mimz said for us to give me Benedryl if my foot did swell, but Barbara didn't have any. Mommy was going to look when she got home to see if she had some. If she doesn't we need to put that on our grocery list.
I helped put in the last several pieces of another jigsaw puzzle.
Bridget drove to town to attend an engagement party and for Mother's Day. She spent the night at our house.
