I had to bring my new golf glove over to Barbara's to show GGF. I wore it a time or two during the day, but not for long because it is easier to play without it on... but I sure do like it.
On the TV we were watching the old Leave It To Beaver show. I had not seen it before. I am enjoying all of these old black and white TV shows.
First thing we did when I got to Barbara's was play farmer. We went outside to check on our crops. Well, imagine our surprise when we found a second tomato. It is only the size of a green pea, but it is a start. And our green beans have lots of blooms on them.
After breakfast we went back outside, because it was so nice out there. We played Keep Away and later we pretended to be gardeners and we trimmed bushes.
We fly our American flag everyday that the weather is nice and it was getting a little wore, so we have a new one flying now.The old one needed to be burned, so today was the day we took care of that little task. Always before any burning was done when I was not here, but GGF wanted me to be here for this little ceremony. I wadded up newspaper and added it to our chimnea.
GGF put in the flag, and Barbara put the match to the paper. This was the closest I have been to a fire...
I was very interested in it.
It was a little smokey. GGF put on the lid when the fire was burned out.
While GGM napped we played in my room, with old toys. and with my kitchen. We talked about how when Baby Girl is here we will have to put away lots of tiny toys. Barbara said Lego's will be sent home with me for the duration.
Of course there was fireman play. I must have just out of bed and into my fireman's gear a dozen times when alarms would go off. I enjoy taking this truck apart and putting it back together.
I built a megablock police station, while Barbara built a bad guys fortress. I don't think bad guys would put flowers on their fortress, but she did it anyway.
In the kitchen I fixed GGM a drink of water, with sale and pepper. She said she drank it (but I have my doubts.)
A funny thing: GGM and Barbara sometimes spell words to each other and I really really want to know what they are spelling.
