Another sweet story that Mimz told: Twice I have seen TV commercials for a meical alert necklace. Both times, I told Mimz she needed to get one of those to keep her safe. She told me, she didn't think she needed that right now. I said, "Yes, you do Mimz. I'm not always here."
And another one: Mimz and I pulled into the park parking lot. Mimz told me that even though there were a lot of cars there might not be any kids. I told her to just look in the cars and see if she sees cars seats for kids. Mimz said I said it so quickly and she wondered how many 4-year-olds would even think of that. She said I amaze her.
I wanted to brush my teeth as soon as I got to Barbara's but she convinced me I should eat breakfast first... I agreed. I wanted to see if we had any Wonder Woman shows recorded, so we checked and there were none, so I wanted to watch Rifleman with Lucas McCain and his son Mark. I understand that very old shows are not in color. The first time I saw a show in black and white I asked Mimz what was wrong.
I always enjoy replaying with old toys.
We got out a tent tunnel and I laughed at how quickly I could scurry through it compared to how long it used to take.
We raced cars through a tube and down the hall.
We raced my Lego cars also. They didn't go nearly as far as the Hot Wheels went.
I was playing in my toy room, when Barbara walked in. I told her she was "interrupting" my play. She backed out of the room, so I could proceed.
We played Break the Ice and Spill the Beans, but we didn't play according to the rules. I made up my own rules. I wonder if that means like being in control? Or maybe I just like using my little brain to figure out new ways to do things.
When we play Keep Away or Dream Snatchers, I often make up new rules. Like I can't be hit if I am in my "home" or if I have my hands up or if I call Time Out. Or it don't count as a hit if the ball only hits my foot or if it just barely touches me.
Every once in a while we dig deep to find hidden toys. Here I am looking under the sofa. You would be surprised how many toys end up under there.
I got called down several times today for hollering very loudly while playing. It just can't be helped. I have a great big voice. Now sometimes it can be very soft but that is not during active play. Oh, I did have one Time Out for talking back. And I got in trouble for using names like "cheater." I hear other kids call names like cheater and stupid. I'm trying to learn that I should not call people names.
After lunch, where I ate worms, ants, and June bugs (just a game I like to play) we laid down. I played on the iPad but I didn't want to nap, so I tucked Barbara in and gave her a kiss, then I ran off to find a playmate. Since GGM was asleep, it was GGF. We watched Gunsmoke together. I asked him at least 50 questions mostly about the show. Barbara could hear us. She knew I asked questions but she didn't realize how many I ask.
Mr Brad came home from work and I helped him dig holes in the flower bed for new plants. I do like to work. Barbara or my great grand parents are always outside when I am. Generally they stay in our yard and watch from a distance. Today Barbara walked over to where I was working to make sure I was not being a pest. Then she had to explain what the word pest. I am always asking for new words to be defined and I really listen so I will understand. I was digging when Mommy came to get me about 6pm.
When I learn a new word, my caretakers try to remember to use that word again and again to reinforce it in my mind.
Mommy, Daddy, and I went over to Andy and Kristan's just to hang out. Andy and I were playing and I fell. My elbow and my knee got scraped and Andy helped me clean them up. Boy get a lot of scrapes before they get grown.
