As we were leaving my driveway for school, we saw a school bus hit a parked car in my cul-de-sac. They woman and the bus driver were talking about it when we drove away. I went to school happily.
My lunch had the normal chicken nuggets and 2 Oreo cookies plus the ham sandwich without the bread that I asked for.
All my life, I have called my mother "Mommy." For the past few weeks, I have sometimes call her "Mom." Another sign I am growing up.
In my pocket I had a piece of tree bark that I had picked up off the playground. I didn't tell my teaches or my classmates. It was my secret weapon. I really like it and plan to keep it.
We stopped at Panda Express on the drive home from school. As I have for the past couple of weeks, I had to go to the bathroom. GGF decided to try something different so he added a beef with mushrooms entree to his regular Honey Walnut Shrimp. I tried the beef and I liked it.
At home, we had a Fiber One snack, then we dumped out the Legos and started building. That kept us occupied for over an hour. When we were putting the Legos away, I wanted our creations put on top of the jar of Legos so we could replay with them next time.
While painting, I decided to put on some body war paint. I wiped the paint off by body and would then add more. I did this several times and found that to be lots of fun.
The paint I got on the paper did not look very good...
.. but the wash cloth I used to clean up my body looked like a real work of modern art.
I found my old Sit and Spin. I found sitting on it not to be much of a challenge....
... so I tried standing on it and spinning. That was a challenge.
Early in the day I asked GGM if she was coming to my t-ball practice. She said she wanted to come, but only if I was a polite boy all afternoon. I was very good, so she did go to practice. While getting ready for t-ball practice, I asked GGF if he would come to my practice. Because I asked, he said yes. So including Mommy, I had four fans at practice. It was a bit chaotic, but we did get in some good practice. I know it must be hard to try to teach this game to eleven little boys who have a LOT to learn.
Me getting batting instruction.
Me ready to assist if needed.
