I was concerned that I had left my gloves over at Barbara's until Mommy called and was told they were in my jacket pockets in my backpack.  Mommy drove me over to Mimz' home on her way to work.

Mommy took me to Mimz home before school, and I had a fit at the front door.  I was told I could not wear my hat to school and I threw it.  Mimz made me sit down on her lap and we had a ten minute talk about bad behavior and how it makes me feel and how it makes my adults feel.  Mimz asked me what I thought I should do about my behavior.  I said I should say I was sorry and go brush my teeth.

****note from Barbara:  When Brenda was a little girl and got in trouble, after her dad would talk to her, she would go into the bathroom and brush her teeth for a long time, while crying.  She did this every time she was in trouble.   Funny that Mason would think a good thing to do when he misbehaved was brush his teeth.****

I wore my gloves to school.  After school, the teacher asked Mimz why I was wearing gloves.  She didn't know, except that I wanted to.  Mimz gave it some thought and she solved the mystery.  She asked me if I was wearing gloves to cover up the ants bites on my hands.  She was right.  I didn't want anyone to see them.   I guess I was embarrassed to look different than the other children.

When Mimz told Barbara about this, Barbara remembered a couple of days before, I could have worn shorts to school, but I asked to wear jeans.  Barbara said that would be fine and she didn't question me as to why I wanted to wear jeans.  Now they think it was to cover up the ant bites on my ankles.

After school, I had a big change in tone of voice and attitude.  I was being polite also.  I had behaved so well after school, Mimz and I went on a very long bike ride.  Nothing makes me happier.  The ride must have worn me out because I took a nap.

No t-ball practice tonight.  It will be tomorrow night instead.  So Mimz and I went for a walk to look at neighborhood Halloween decorations.  When we got home, we watched the first inning of the World Series.  I enjoyed seeing the home run.  Then it was time for a bath and bed.
