Mommy drove me to school this morning because I was taking my Christmas tree gift to Mrs. Cat and I didn't want to risk dropping it while riding the school bus.

When Mrs. Cat was taking the cover off the top of the tree I told her I helped my great grandmother make it just for her.  She was very pleased.  She plugged it in and left it lit all day for all of the class to enjoy.  I was very pleased with myself.

I have had good behavior at school this entire 8 weeks except for one day that I talked too much.

I don't recall anything interesting, funny, or newsworthy happening at school.  I came home expecting to see Mimz waiting for my bus, but she couldn't come.  She has all kinds of work being done at her house and she has to be there to deal with the situation.

I wanted to play with my friends, just as I do every day after school.  I promised to be willing to read and do homework as soon as Mommy got home.

I read all four new books that Mrs. Cat gave me today.  Mommy only had to help me with a few words.  My reading has really improved since Kindgergarten.  So is my hand writing.

Barbara had to run an errand so I went with Mommy to her neighborhood Chritmas Bingo party which was being held at the Club House.  They all bring a dish for dinner.  They had an ornament exchange and then they play Bingo.  I was there for dinner and three Bingo games.
I am good at Bingo and I came close to winning each time.  Then Barbara came to get me.  I was asleep before 9pm.

Barbara talked to "Jack," my elf, and told him about my behavior today.  It was a good report.

Papa arrived home from Nigeria this morning.  He is officially retired.
Grandma took him to the hospital to meet Bradley Charles.  Charles is Andy, Papa, and Bubba's middle name.   My middle name is James, just like my dad.  Pops first name was James.   Mommy and Bridget both have Dawn as a middle name.  Barbara and Grandma and Mimz all have Ann as a middle name.  And GGM doesn't have a middle name.  She is the only one of her 13 brothers and sisters that doesn't have a middle name.
Grandma rented this sign which she had put up last night since Papa arrives at the airport this morning.

When Papa arrived at his home, he was very pleased to see a sign in the yard that said: Goodby Tension, Hello Pension.    If Papa wants to he could go back to Nigeria as a contract worker but that will be after a few months.   In the end, his company really needed him to keep working but he was ready to be officailly retired.

Welcome Home, Papa!  Now we can fish, camp, and hang out together a lot more.
