I did not have a fever when I woke up at 6:20. I drank apple juice and went back to sleep until 8am.
Then I had a 100.2 fever, so Mommy gave me some medicine and apple juice. I wanted milk, but I was told juice would be better on my tummy when I had a fever. I was happy not acting like I felt bad at all. GGM Avis talked to us on the web cam and she suggested that I might be getting an ear infection.... oh no!
I helped fix Mommy's coffee and our breakfast. I love helping. Then Mommy and I went to the post office and grocery store giving Barbara a chance to work on putting pictures on my blog. At HEB there was a fire truck parked outside and a fireman standing by it. We went up to him and he asked me if I would like a fireman's hat. Of course, I wanted it.
My very first hat bit the dust long ago, so that means I have two hat's for us to play with at Mommy's. At Mimz I have my real hat and outfit that I wear when I play in my fire station in the backyard.
I showed my new hat to Barbara as soon as I walked in the door. A minute later I laid down on the sofa saying I was cold. My fever was back. I watched television, wanting someone sitting with me, and went to sleep around 1pm. I woke up at 2:20 and took another dose of medicine. It takes 30 minutes or so for us to see that it is working.
I even wanted to eat, so I had a little BBQ chicken and scalloped potatoes. With rest, a little food, drink, and medicine, I was feeling much better. I put on my boots (a sure sign I am better) and walked around wearing my new fireman's hat and playing with my fire truck. I wanted to help put laundry in the dryer and fold clothes. I like a big pile of clothes to be dropped on me.
Grandma and Barbara left for the lake. They have to get ProLawn statements out and wrap some Christmas presents.
Here I am trying on a new shirt that I might wear to get my picture taken with Santa. I was excited about going to see Santa, but now I am reconsidering.
Daddy came over to play with me. He brought my pirate ship. We watched some football.
