This was a very unusual day.
I was not feeling great this morning. I still have a fever that is helped with Ibuprofen but it keeps returning when the medicine wears off. Mommy made me an appointment for today with Dr. Scott Watson (not my Uncle Scott Watson) at 10:10am. Dr. Lacour is booked all day.
Mimz met Barbara and me at the doctor's office.
I was a bit of a pill, which is very very unusual for me to do in public. If I had been at home, I would have been put in Time Out several times.
Barbara and I were thankful that Mimz was there to help try to get me to behave. We were at the doctor's office for two hours, most of that time spent waiting.
Before getting to the doctor's office, Barbara told me three times, how I was to behave when it was time for me to be weighed. Then Mimz told me the same thing while we were in the waiting room. I was to willingly take off my cowboy boots to be weighed. I did as I was told. Last time, Barbara had to forcible take them off of me because I was NOT going to take them off. I weighed 34.2 pounds. I am 39 inches tall. I did have a slight fever.
The first thing we all noticed when Dr. Watson came in was that he had on cowboy boots, black cowboy boots, just like mine! We talked about the rodeo coming up in March. We told him I had an uncle with his name.
I do not have an ear infection, or strep, or the flu. I don't know what I have but it did not warrant a antibiotic or any other prescription. Just continue as we are doing, maybe adding some Tylenol if my fever comes back before time for another dose of Ibuprofen. Get rest and drink fluids were other doctor's orders.
Mimz took me home with her to get some of her homemade vegetable beef soup. I also got to see the Christmas lights she had strung outside and her Christmas tree. The tree is not decorated yet, but it is still beautiful. I will probably have my own tree in my bedroom. Mimz gave me some more medicine before driving me back home to Barbara. Surprisingly I did not fall asleep in the car, nor did I take a nap. It was 8:30pm before I finally fell asleep.
A good thing: I was very well behaved all day and evening after we left the doctor's office.
I even played by myself for a spell. Since I have been sick, I have wanted someone with me at all times. I ate better today than I have for the past several days. I played soccer with Barbara for several minutes, but I did not run. I said I would only walk and I stuck to my word.
Two bad things: Mimz's iPad fell off a sofa and is not working. Mommy's freezer quit working. Grandma took our frozen foods home with her. The refrigerator is working, thank goodness.
At 6:30pm, my fever was back, so I got another dose of medicine. We all hope my illness goes away very very soon.
