Barbara came over right before Mommy left for work.  Before we could play in my toy room, we had to pick it up.  I have not learned the lesson of putting my toys away when I am through playing with them.  Carson had been over here playing and we really make a mess.  Barbara took a puzzle and a game back to her house because she found I was not taking care of them.

We stopped at the bank and at Wal-Mart on our trip to Barbara's home.  I got a cookie from the bakery but not toys... we didn't even go to the toy department.  We bought the six good items on our list and quickly left the store.  Barbara is not a browser.  We made a quick stop at the bank.  I always want to go inside, instead of the drive-thru, so that is what we did.

GGM had almost finished making some potato salad and some cole slaw when we got home.  I did help a little with the laundry.  I also helped siphon water out of the backyard waterfall because the water pump has quit working and we need to get a new one installed.  I had fun climbing all around and on the waterfall.  Barbara would have taken a picture but her hands were cold and wet working on getting the water out.

Nicole told me Brad was getting off work at 2pm, but she didn't know if he would be coming straight home or not.   I sure hoped he would but as it turns out he didn't come home all afternoon.  I rode my bike around our street.
 I am a good climber....

Barbara and I picked up a bunch of acorns and threw them at our red and white striped dead-end street fence.  The object of the game was to hit the fence with the acorns instead of them flying through the big open spaces.
I spied an old sippie cup up high on a kitchen shelf.  GGM got it down and put some milk in it.  I drank three half glasses.  I kept insisting I wanted full glasses.  GGM kept insisting she would give me half glasses and if I wanted more she would give me more.  She said something like, "Waste not, want not."   Oh, drinking out of a sippie cup is hard work.  I really had to suck a lot to drink out of it, but it was fun challenge.
Cowboy down.... GGM, GGF, Barbara, and I all played with my little water guns...without water.  It is a beautiful day, but still a little too cool to get our clothes wet.

GGF, Barbara, and I ran three errands, giving GGM time to take a nap.  We went to the pharmacy, the bank, and the eye glass store.   A nose piece had come off GGF glasses and he needed it replaced.  The eye doctor happened to come out of the exams rooms and she came up to GGF, and said, "How are you today, Mr. Bates?"  She had only seen him one time, over a year ago, but she remembered his name!  We had not told anyone his name.  Barbara asked Dr. Nelson how she knew his name and she said, "He is one of my favorite patients.  I enjoyed his stories of his world travels."   Wow, good memory!

For the past few days I have been always conscience of who is coming to see me in three days, so I am being super super good.
My elf moved ... just like he does every night.  I hope he is giving Santa good reports about my stellar behavior.  I have had a few slip ups, but all kids do that.
GGM and I started working on my Thank you notes.  I tried writing my name, but I wasn't too good at it and got exasperated quickly.

I watched a full hour of Calliou's Holiday Movie.  I didn't care that it was in Spanish and I couldn't understand the words.  I understood what was going on by just watching.

I went downstairs to help GGM in the kitchen.  She decided it would be good for us to play baseball instead, so we got my bat, ball, and bases and got it all set up.  GGM pitched and I hit.  I am a good hitter and I was being a good sport.  I didn't mind when she tagged me out.  I would readily admit I was out.   I also would admit that a ball was a foul ball.  That made Barbara and GGM feel good that I didn't always have to be the winner.

Barbara took her turn at being the pitcher.  A very funny thing:  When she was pitching, she was standing pretty close to me.  When I would hit the ball, instead of trying to catch the ball, she would make an X with her arms over her face because she was worried she might get hit by the ball.   GGM and I laughed at her.  I even acted out what Barbara was doing and we laughed some more.

Another funny thing:  I had told GGM to root for Barbara's team, not my team.  I hit the ball, Barbara was chasing the ball, GGM hollered, "You can get him!"  And I replied, "... If I walk."  We all really laughed at my comeback.  We played baseball for over an hour.  I know we will play again tomorrow.  That was so much fun.
