Happy Birthday, PaPa. How old are you?
Here is Morgan with Santa Claus. I bet she doesn't have to work at being good. I am good most of the time, but sometimes a little naughty sneaks out.
Today was Fabulous Friday at school. It was my last day of school for two weeks. I will be so ready to come back on January 5th to see all of my friends. It rained all day, so of course we didn't play outside but that was okay because we were busy thinking about the upcoming holiday. One of my teachers gave us gingerbread glasses that made holiday lights look like little dancing gingerbread men. It is hard to imagine how it works but it does. My other teacher gave me a toy that looks like a straw with a propeller on the end. You spin it in your hands and it flies around the room. Of all of us, GGF can work it the best. I need to practice. I brought home a candy cane decorated to look like a reindeer.
We stopped at Panda Express to get GGF some orange chicken. He shared it with me.
I missed getting to see PaPa and Grandma. They stopped by Barbara's house for a few minutes. Grandma fed Anna Kate while Papa adjusted the timer on the outside house lights. Then they left to run errands. Grandma was helping move her office files and things to her new office, in the pouring down rain. The Wilson's have to move from their home and their business because of the new toll road that is being built. They bought 50 acres in Tomball near Mel's Dinner. Grandma says her new office is WOW. It is new, big, air conditioned, and has it's own TV and bathroom! It also is just a little bit closer to Barbara's home, maybe five miles away.
It took me about one minute to find my Elf on the Shelf.
Anna Kate is starting to slobber a lot, so Barbara decided to look through boxes of my baby things to see if she could find some bibs. The first thing we found was my old OU cap. I thought it would fit, but I was mistaken. My head must have grown. We will give this hat to Anna Kate. Barbara decided this project would be easier when I was not there to help, so we moved on to some other activity.
I was super well behaved this entire day. That is pretty good especially since I was cooped up in the house all day. Barbara played with me almost all day. We played Car Town. We played in my room: doctor, fishing, cooking, cleaning up the kitchen, then "reading" some big books. Actually I just turn all 200 plus pages and read the page numbers out loud. I sometimes mess up, but I really can do it. I asked how you write 1000. GGM showed me the difference in 100 and 1000. And she showed me 100 and 200. I am good at numbers and that makes every one very happy because they all like numbers. Nobody could add numbers in their head like GGF could when he was younger. He still does all the adding when he and Barbara are working killer Sudoku puzzles because he can do it faster. (and he is 90 years old and she is only 66 years old!)
GGM put an apple on my head.
Hey, I did a great job balancing that apple. I didn't know I could do that.
We tried making a craft, but it didn't go well so we put that off for another day. I watched one TV show but I can't recall what it was. We played other things too, but right now this is all I can remember.
Finally it quit raining, so we could play outside and take Anna Kate for a stroller ride. I am so lucky to have our big street to ride my bike on.
Barbara and I played soccer. One time she was ahead 5 to 4 and she wanted to quit while she was ahead..... I don't think so..... we kept on playing until I was ahead, then we quit. It was starting to get cool and we didn't have on jackets.
When Kristan came to get AK, I showed her my school crafts. She always takes the time to listen to what I have to say, even though we know she is soooo ready to get home after teaching fifth graders all day.
We went to get a pizza from PaPa Murphy's. We got it free because we had filled a card by buying ten other pizza's over the last several months. I got to carry the pizza to the car. I told the lady I was big enough to handle that job. I was going to eat pizza with Barbara, but Mommy came to pick me up right then and she and I went to Papa Murphy's to get our own pizza. Barbara gave her a coupon to get $3 off the pizza. We could have eaten with Barbara but her one pizza would not be big enough to feed them, Daddy, Mommy, and me.
