Going to school today was routine. Oh, we did change up my lunch, I wanted a chocolate chip cookie instead of Oreos and I wanted some barbecued chips along with my usual chicken nuggets.
We are having Fun Friday every day this week. Today we made donuts with sprinkles and then we ate them.
I am always thirsty when I get in the car to come home. Most of the time Barbara remembers to bring me a water bottle. Sophia kicked me at school, but I didn't cry and I didn't tell the teacher, but I don't want to play with her any more. (well, maybe I will be over it tomorrow)
I noticed Brad had put out some Christmas decorations so I went over to admire them. Baby Jesus had a blanket made of pine needles. Santa Claus had fallen down. Barbara and I would have stood him upright but the hole is not deep enough for Santa to stand up for long. Brad will have to dig a deeper hole.
I never forget to mark the days off the calendar and to move an ornament onto the advent tree. I also remember to look for my Elf on the Shelf
Mimz came directly from the hospital, where she volunteers two days a week, to Barbara's home. She admired Anna Kate with me.
Mimz and Barbara took me to my 6th months dentist appointment. I picked out a Dora show to watch during the exam, but I didn't watch much of it. Carry, my hygienist, took my blood pressure. It was very good: 107/61.
She gave my teeth a quick clean and exam. She told me about sugar bugs (plaque) and how important it is to brush my teeth twice a day.
Mimz came up close because she wanted to see what was going on inside my mouth. I got a good report, but I need to make sure I brush my teeth twice a day.
Dr Gosnell had on his cowboy boots. I didn't have my boots on but we still talked about how much I like wearing boots. He made me laugh and said my teeth were okay. He didn't say I was very well behaved but I know I was. I do grind my teeth, so my two front teeth are really ground down. This is a common thing for children to do. When my 6 year molars come in, that will change my bite and I will probably outgrow the grind of my teeth. Only if I complain about my teeth hurting to we need to think about doing something. I can use a water pick, but I would probably make a big mess. The little dental floss holders would probably work better.
Right next to the dentist office was this street sign: Mason street in Tomball!
Something was said that led to my having a bad attitude on the drive home from the dentist. Mimz and I had a talk about my attitude and I cried. I get embarrassed when I get called out for misbehaving. I do regret it, but don't know how to get out of the hole I have dug, without more back talk. Hopefully I learn how to act nicely so my adults will be glad to be around me and be proud of me always.
Mimz told us that Aunt Jill has signed me up for Mutton Busting during the rodeo this coming March. Everyone is so excited about that and can't wait to come see me perform. I plan to hang on to that lamb for as long as I possible can.
I wanted to go home with Mimz but I couldn't. She had Christmas shopping plans, but tomorrow she and I will go shopping for a present for my dad. I was well behaved the rest of the afternoon. Because Anna Kate was sleeping, Barbara and I got to sit on her bed and play Fireman, watch Andy of Mayberry, and play the card game Go Fish.
When Anna Kate woke up we took her on a stroller ride. She loves the outdoors as much as I do!
I would not eat dinner, so I just had a bowl of Fiber One cereal with milk. Barbara had GGF taste the milk to make sure it was good, and it was, but it put the idea in my head that the milk might be bad, so I didn't eat much of it.
I was happy when I left to go home with Mommy.
